International Quilt Week Yokohama 2008
Miniature Quilt Contest
The quilts will be exhibited at the International Quilt Week Yokohama 2008 and
the prize-winning quilts may be published in our magazines.

Rules
- Anyone can enter cloth miniature quilts by submitting a completed work and an entry form.
- Quilt must be constructed & quilted by person(s) named on the entry blank.
- Finished size of the miniature quilts must be 50cm x 50cm(=20'' x 20'').
- All quilts must be quilted by hand, machine or both.
- No limit for the number of entries per person.
- Works published in magazines or books are ineligible.
- All the entries must have some originality. Quilts totally by other's design/s or kit quilts are not acceptable.
- Each quilt must have a 5cm(=2'') finished, fabric sleeve sewn in the full width of the quilt, securely stitched to the top edge on the backside. Quilts without a sleeve will not be accepted.
- Each entry must have a fabric label including the name of the entry, the name and address of the maker, securely stitched on the backside of the quilt.
- Incomplete, torn, or soiled quilts will not qualify for entry or exhibition.
- Patchwork Tsushin Co, Ltd. (one of the committee members) reserves the right to publish the prize-winning works. The prize-winning works may be kept for a while at Patchwork Tsushin Co, Ltd. for being photographed or exhibition(s).
- All decisions of the jurors and judges are final.
Timetable
The miniature quilt/s, entry form and entry fee must be received by Patchwork Tsushin Co, Ltd. no later than September 17.
To Enter, Send:
- A completed & signed entry form per entry. Incomplete entry forms won't be accepted.
- Completed miniature quilt/s (Place your quilt inside a plastic bag to protect your quilt against moisture and seal the plastic bag. Please do not use any of your muslin bag or pillowcase. Also, please understand that we may not be able to follow your special instruction for return shipment.)

Entry fee (4000 yen`j depends on the country you live. Please inquire about the exact amount.@contact by e-mail
Due to the unpredictable currency fluctuations, we only accept Visa/Master card payment for the entry fee.
Checks and money order by bank are not acceptable.
We encourage you to insure your work for its full value for insurance purposes, however, we must ask you to value it for customs declaration purposes only at no more than $50.00 (US). A higher custom value may require an expensive bond. If it happens, we must ask you to reimburse these expenses to us by your credit card or international money order issued by post office.
